Greetings to any new residents of Parkwood Arms Apartments. The subject line of this document sets the context for my message. I have resided at Parkwood Arms Apartments for more than two decades, during which time I was employed in the English as a Second Language Department at UW-Madison.  In addition, I have served as resident manager of Parkwood Arms Apartments for the past decade and a half. Approaching my retirement years, I have now purchased a condominium and will be moving on. I have enjoyed my residency here for several reasons. I have found my fellow tenants to be quite pleasant and helpful. Being a type 1 diabetic, I have experienced two or three medical emergencies here, and my neighbors have willingly offered their assistance. I have also appreciated the relative quietness of the community, which was especially important to me during times that I was reading and making comments on the essays of students enrolled in the writing classes I taught. Parkwood Arms still has a couple tenants that have exceeded my twenty-year residency and probably a half a dozen who have been here seven to ten years.  I hope your tenancy at Parkwood Arms Apartments is as satisfying as mine has been.
